The Son of Spaceman

The Son of Space is an experimental surrealist copic marker piece which I have been working on during my traditional art sessions at college. I took inspiration from Rene Magritte's surrealist work 'The Son of Man' but adapted it to a cartoon comic style with a theme of space Illustration. This marker work is currently my personal favourite and turned out a lot better than I expected! I plan to produce another version of this piece either as a full A4 copic marker work or as a painted canvas piece. I feel like I was able to capture the essence of surrealism in a variety of ways and I'm so pleased with the result!!
